About Lumin Counseling
Lumin Counseling offers individual, couples, and family counseling. We are located in the Pacific Northwest in Bellingham, Washington. At Lumin, we are here to listen to your story, to see your strengths, and to work toward a life for you that is more balanced and meaningful. In this way, we strive to build within you a sense of connection to yourself, to your world, and to those closest to you.
About Kimberley
I am a Washington State Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LH00006744) and a Level II trained Gottman Couples therapist, as well as a Certified Level II complex-trauma informed therapist. Additionally, I am a state certified clinical supervisor. I see each person as a whole, blending a systemic lens, with the science of neurobiology. In my free time I enjoy creative writing, photography, and the outdoors.

The primary goal at Lumin Counseling is to help you heal and grow as a person. This can be accomplished by identifying your struggles, healing from your emotional pain, and moving forward to a place you feel grounded and balanced in your life. We want for you to reimagine your life in a way that brings more meaning and connection. This process can bridge the pain of the past with the hope of the future, while engaging in the present moment.
My Approach
I approach each person with dignity and respect through a systemic lens that includes you as an individual and you as a member of a larger group. I recognize that you come with your own unique story and embedded in that story are strengths and values that can enrich your life. I hope that, together we can find ways to highlight your strengths and insights, so that your life becomes more meaningful and fulfilling. Together we will explore external forces and internal clues that influence the quality of your life. I will look at many factors in your life, including your family of origin, your current level of social support, what you do for fun, what brings you joy, and how you fuel your body. These factors all contribute to who you are. I encourage you to be an active participant in your journey as we weave together a new chapter in your story.
